A closed sky with even light today, with a faint SSW drift and pressure going nowhere. Whatever swims in Lac Perchaude should be near the weed line and any gaps in it. The day peaks in the night. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Perchaude lies in Lanaudière, in Quebec. The ground around here is lake country bush. It measures about 14 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. The bank runs about 2.3 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. Saint-Michel-des-Saints at 17 km is the nearest place to stop. Manawan lies 54 km off, Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm another 58 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth figures are not published for this one. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Records held for Lanaudière cover pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass and brook trout. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. At Lac Perchaude the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Expect July to average close to 17°C, with January the cold end at about -15°C. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. Anyone fishing Lac Perchaude regularly works to that calendar.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. The nearest alternative is Lac de la Potasse, 1.8 km out. Confirm access to Lac Perchaude locally before you travel.
