Overcast skies today, with a mirror surface most of the day and pressure going nowhere. Most of the action on Lac Pasqua should come off windblown banks where food collects. The strongest window is the morning. Small adjustments will matter more than big moves. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Pasqua is a Mauricie water, in Quebec. The surface lies 414 metres up. About 2 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. It is a small entry by Mauricie standards. La Tuque sits 44 km from here and is the nearest stop. Weymontachie follows at 78 km, then Laurentides at 79 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Records held for Mauricie cover northern pike, brook trout and walleye. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Read Lac Pasqua for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
July runs about 17°C on average, January about -16°C. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. Average temperatures cross freezing around early May in spring and again near mid November in autumn. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. Plan any trip to Lac Pasqua around it.
We hold no note on access for this one. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Should this one be busy, Lac Paugan is 0.2 km off. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Pasqua for certain.
