Fog sitting on the water this morning, with steady pressure of wind from the S with the barometer flat. Expect most activity at Lac Ohio around points where shallow meets deep. The strongest window is the night. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Look for Lac Ohio in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. What surrounds it is taiga. At roughly 9 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Saint-Félicien is the closest place, 49 km off. After that come Saint-Prime at 52 km and Roberval at 55 km. Also on the doorstep: Lac Otter at about 1.8 km, Lac Petit Castor at 2.8 km, Lac Sauvage at about 3.1 km, Lac Plat at 3.3 km and Lac Emilien at about 3.8 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean records list northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish among the fish reported. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. Lac Ohio fishes better once you know its edges.
The warmest month averages 16°C, the coldest about -18°C. Long winters and short summers set the pattern. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early May. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Expect Lac Ohio to follow that timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No made access is recorded, so a short walk in is the likely arrangement. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac Otter sits 1.8 km off and takes the overflow. The position on Lac Ohio is worth confirming on the day.
