Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a working NNW breeze and steady pressure. The fish at Lac Nuluarniavik are likely to sit near shallow cover and weed edges. A broad window opens from afternoon into evening. Commit to the pattern once the first fish shows. Cold hands, careful casts: precision is everything today.

The Nord-du-Québec end of Quebec holds Lac Nuluarniavik. The land about it is taiga. This is sizeable water at about 5.29 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. The perimeter runs near 15 km, so plan the walk before you start. It is one of the larger waters we list anywhere in Quebec. The nearest town is Kuujjuaq, 98 km away. Nain lies 359 km off, Labrador City another 592 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Our records hold no depth for this water. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Nord-du-Québec records list Arctic charr, brook trout, lake trout and lake whitefish among the fish reported. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Fish Lac Nuluarniavik to its features, not to its size.
Typical July readings run about 11°C; by January the average is down near -23°C. Little of the calendar is open water, so timing counts for everything. Winter locks it down, and early June brings it back. From about early June to around late October, expect open water on the long-run figures. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Lac Nuluarniavik runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Our records carry no access rule either way. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. Light line and small metal for the trout; a fly rod earns its place on calm evenings. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. For a change of water, Lac Tasialuk Sanguajuq is 8.4 km distant. The position on Lac Nuluarniavik is worth confirming on the day.
