An even grey lid over the water, with a proper ripple driven from the NW with a settled glass. Expect most activity at Lac Navieres around the shaded margin through bright spells. A stay-home graph, with the middle of the day as the one excuse to go. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Set in Quebec, Lac Navieres is a Quebec water. The land about it is boreal forest. Surface area runs to some 14.22 sq km, so a boat and a plan are both worth having. You have roughly 52 km of edge to choose from, which rewards a scouting trip. It is among the larger waters listed here for Quebec. For supplies, Nain is 147 km out. Then Kuujjuaq, 291 km, and Sheshatshiu, 467 km. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Fish Lac Navieres where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep. Keep back from the edge where the water runs clear.
Averages here run 10°C at the top of summer and -22°C at the bottom of winter. Water stays cold even at the height of the year. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near mid June. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about mid June until roughly mid October. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Lac Navieres fishes to that pattern most years.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Pilliamet at 26 km is the sensible second choice. Signs at Lac Navieres carry more weight than any list.
