Soft grey light all day today, with a kind SSW breeze on the water and pressure sitting still. Activity on Lac Nadon should centre on the weed line and any gaps in it. A stay-home graph, with the middle of the day as the one excuse to go. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Within Laurentides, Quebec, you have Lac Nadon. The country here is spruce and muskeg. Surface area is around 12 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The bank runs about 1.3 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. The nearest town is Ferme-Neuve, 81 km away. After that come Saint-Boniface at 93 km and Mont-Laurier at 95 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Across Laurentides, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. On Lac Nadon a short move beats a long cast.
July runs about 17°C on average, January about -17°C. Open water is the exception rather than the rule here. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. The water is typically free of ice between early May and mid November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Nadon.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. A landowner's word beats anything printed elsewhere. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac du Souvenir Naturel, 1 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Confirm before you fish Lac Nadon.
