Thin cloud passing over the water tonight, with almost no wind to speak of and no real change in pressure. Most of the action on Lac Moine should come off sheltered bays and points. Expectations low today; if anything moves, it will be in the night. Lower the pace and stay patient. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Moine sits in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, out in Quebec. This is pine and birch ground. It measures about 19 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. Roughly 2.8 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. For supplies, Notre-Dame-du-Lac is 50 km out. Further out sit Saint-Isidore (53 km) and Témiscaming (55 km). There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Fish documented in Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. On Lac Moine the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
The range across the year is -15°C to 18°C. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Ice-out usually falls in late April, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Break-up sits around late April on average, with the water closing again about late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. At Lac Moine the season follows that pattern closely.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Bellan, 1 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Moine in particular, ask before you travel.
