Dull, settled light over the water, with a gentle ripple from the S and no real change in pressure. Give the shallows early and the drop later the first hour at Lac Miller. Make the night the heart of the trip. Make the first hour count and build on it. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Lac Miller lies in Outaouais, Quebec. It lies 281 metres above sea level. About 7 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. The town to know is Buckingham, 21 km out. Orléans is the closest city, 36 km away. Others within reach: Lac Garret 1.8 km off, Etang Yanik the better part of 1.9 km, Lac a Denis 2 km off, Lac Pedro the better part of 2.1 km and Lac Long 2.2 km off. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Outaouais, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Read Lac Miller before you fish it and the day goes better.
Temperature averages peak at 18°C in July and bottom out at -13°C in January. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. The lid usually goes in late April, which opens the strongest weeks of the year. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about early December. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. It sets the rhythm of the year at Lac Miller.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Garret, 1.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Miller, the notice at the access point is the final word.
