Flat light and a covered sky today, with a light chop building from the SSE and no real change in pressure. Give windblown banks where food collects the first hour at Lac Meg. If you must go, go in the morning. Treat it as a scouting trip with a rod in hand. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

You will find Lac Meg in Côte-Nord, Quebec. Height above sea level is 479 metres. This is a tiny water, and one quiet approach covers all of it. On size it sits at the modest end of our Côte-Nord list. The closest town, Forestville, is 128 km distant. Beyond it, Saint-Honoré at 133 km and Saint-Fulgence at 136 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Species logged across Côte-Nord include logperch. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Lac Meg gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
Averages move between -19°C in January and 15°C in July. Little of the calendar is open water, so timing counts for everything. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around mid May. Break-up near mid May, freeze-up near mid November: that is the shape of an average year. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Lac Meg runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Trio sits 0.6 km off and takes the overflow. Confirm before you fish Lac Meg.
