No direct sun expected today, with a gentle ripple from the S and pressure going nowhere. Expect most activity at Lac McLeod around sheltered bays and points. If you pick one session, make it the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac McLeod lies in Outaouais, in Quebec. The surface lies 164 metres up. With some 42 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. A shoreline of some 2.8 km keeps the choices simple. Few waters listed in Outaouais are bigger. Start from Val-des-Monts, 13 km down the road. For a city, Gatineau is 33 km off. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. On Lac McLeod the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
Long-term averages put July at about 19°C and January near -13°C. Cold locks it up for a good stretch each year. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. From about late April to around early December, expect open water on the long-run figures. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Plan around that when you fish Lac McLeod.
Public data does not answer the access question here. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. No slipway, car park or made path shows up nearby in mapping, so treat access as rough. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lacs Jumeaux sits 2.1 km off and takes the overflow. For Lac McLeod in particular, ask before you travel.
