Bands of rain crossing through the day, with steady pressure of wind from the S and steady pressure. On Lac Manet, work the weed line and any gaps in it first. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Manet lies within the bounds of Côte-Nord, Quebec. The setting is pine and birch. This is sizeable water at about 6.79 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. There is roughly 29 km of bank, and each arm behaves like its own water. On our Côte-Nord list it sits near the top for size. Saint-Augustin lies 120 km from the water. Further out sit Humber Arm South (222 km) and Irishtown-Summerside (231 km). Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Species logged across Côte-Nord include logperch. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. Work Lac Manet in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Climate records put July near 14°C and January near -14°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from mid May. The season between ice runs from about mid May to late November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. It sets the rhythm of the year at Lac Manet.
The access position is unclear from public sources. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. The nearest alternative is Lac Armand, 1.5 km out. Signs at Lac Manet carry more weight than any list.
