Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with a gentle ripple from the S and pressure going nowhere. Lac Long should fish best around any hard bottom among the soft today. Not a day the forecast likes; the night keeps a flicker of interest. Lower the pace and stay patient. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Long is listed under Outaouais, Quebec. It sits in pine and birch. At about 14 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. Bank access stretches around 3.4 km in total. Ground here is low by Quebec standards. 18 km away sits Saint-Raphaël, the nearest town. It is 74 km to Gatineau, the nearest city. No border sits close enough to matter.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Reported across Outaouais: pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. On Lac Long the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
Climate normals give 19°C for July and -13°C for January. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. On Lac Long the same rules apply, with local timing.
No access rule appears in what we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac des Embarras sits 0.7 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Long in what we hold.
