Rain on and off through the day, with hardly a ripple anywhere with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac Lola are likely to sit near the shallows early and the drop later. A day for grinding out a result rather than chasing a peak. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

This water sits in Mauricie, Quebec. Beyond the shoreline you have boreal forest. The water measures roughly 3 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. Our Mauricie list holds plenty of bigger water. The nearest town is Manawan, 51 km away. Further out sit Leblanc (80 km) and Weymontachie (81 km). No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Reported across Mauricie: northern pike, brook trout and walleye. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. At Lac Lola the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
The year swings from about -17°C in January to roughly 16°C in July. The ice season is long here and the open one short. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from early May. Break-up sits around early May on average, with the water closing again about mid November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. At Lac Lola the season follows that pattern closely.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. No slipway, car park or made path shows up nearby in mapping, so treat access as rough. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac Charrier, 0.6 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lac Lola in what we hold.
