Soft grey light all day today, with a light SSW breeze with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac Loda are likely to sit near the seam between weed and open water. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Lac Loda falls in Outaouais, part of Quebec. Elevation runs to 344 metres. Small at around 2 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. Most waters listed here for Outaouais are larger. Start from Saint-Boniface, 75 km down the road. It is 191 km to Gatineau, the nearest city. More in the same country: 0.4 km away is Lac Nevele, 0.9 km out stands Lac Ruage, 1 km away is Lac Emeril, 1 km out stands Lac de l'Ivresse and 1.1 km away is Lac Psaume. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass among the fish reported. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. Lac Loda repays a walk before the first cast.
July runs about 17°C on average, January about -17°C. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. Break-up sits around late April on average, with the water closing again about late November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Plan around that when you fish Lac Loda.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Should this one be busy, Lac Nevele is 0.4 km off. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Loda for certain.
