Flat light and a covered sky today, with a light chop building from the SW and pressure sitting still. The productive water at Lac Lindsay will be around bays that hold the day's warmth. Little to get excited about, though the night holds a sliver of promise. Lower the pace and stay patient.

Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, is where Lac Lindsay sits. The ground around here is lake country bush. At about 80 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. There is roughly 9.1 km of bank, more than one visit can cover properly. It ranks high for size among our Abitibi-Témiscamingue listings. Some 33 km away sits Mattawa, the nearest settlement. The big place round here is Greater Sudbury, 205 km distant. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Survey and observation records for Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Lac Lindsay gives up more to patience than to distance.
Expect July to average close to 18°C, with January the cold end at about -14°C. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about late April. The water is typically free of ice between late April and late November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. It holds true on Lac Lindsay more years than not.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No made access is recorded, so a short walk in is the likely arrangement. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Lac Lucie at 2.3 km is the sensible second choice. None of that is settled for Lac Lindsay in what we hold.
