Scattered cloud dimming the moonlight, with a whisper of wind from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. The productive water at Lac Limace will be around any hard bottom among the soft. A tough forecast; the middle of the day offers the only real chance. Keep baits small and presentations quiet.

Lac Limace lies in Outaouais, Quebec. Elevation runs to 401 metres. Surface area runs to about 5 hectares — small enough to read in one session. The nearest town is Saint-Boniface, 91 km away. Ferme-Neuve is 95 km away, with Maniwaki at 104 km. If this one is busy: Lac Andiran just 0.8 km, Lac Ghazel a touch under 1.2 km, Lac Tesson just 1.9 km, Lac Corbere a touch under 2.2 km and Lac Marigot just 2.3 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Open biodiversity records for Outaouais list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Fish Lac Limace to its features, not to its size.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -17°C in January. The window is narrow, and fish feed hard while it lasts. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Lac Limace fishes to that pattern most years.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No built facilities appear in mapping around this water. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. For a change of water, Lac Andiran is 0.8 km distant. For Lac Limace, the notice at the access point is the final word.
