A closed sky with even light today, with a light chop building from the NNE and pressure sitting still. Fish at Lac Levareau should hold close to structure within a cast of the bank. A broad window opens from the day. Commit to the pattern once the first fish shows. The cold puts a premium on the calmest, deepest water.

In Quebec, Lac Levareau falls inside Nord-du-Québec. It stands 304 metres above sea level. At 1.59 sq km this is proper open water rather than a pond. At about 6.7 km of edge, most people work one arm at a time. Salluit is the closest town at 257 km. Puvirnituq lies 264 km off, Kuujjuaq another 350 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Open biodiversity records for Nord-du-Québec list Arctic charr, brook trout, lake trout, lake whitefish and cisco. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. Lac Levareau gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
In an average year July sits at 12°C and January at -24°C. The ice season is long here and the open one short. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around mid June. Expect the water usable from around mid June until roughly mid October. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. On Lac Levareau the same rules apply, with local timing.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. For the trout, small spinners and a box of nymphs cover both approaches. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. For a change of water, Lac Briscot is 19 km distant. For Lac Levareau in particular, ask before you travel.
