Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a working SSW breeze and pressure going nowhere. Activity on Lac Laverdiere should centre on the seam between weed and open water. If you pick one session, make it the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Laverdiere is one of the Lanaudière listings for Quebec. The bank is 509 metres above sea level. The water covers around 3.09 sq km, which puts most of it out of reach from the bank. You are looking at roughly 14 km of shoreline, with plenty of water between access points. On our Lanaudière list it sits near the top for size. For supplies, Manawan is 44 km out. For a city, Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne is 136 km off. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Lanaudière, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. Lac Laverdiere repays a walk before the first cast.
Seasonal averages run from -16°C in January up to 17°C in July. The ice season is long here and the open one short. Break-up comes around early May, and the run that follows is short and strong. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about mid November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Plan any trip to Lac Laverdiere around it.
We hold no note on access for this one. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Fishing from a pier is possible 1.5 km away. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Should this one be busy, Lac Gellebert is 1.5 km off. Nothing on Lac Laverdiere should be assumed from this page alone.
