Lac Larose is one of the Côte-Nord waters in Quebec. The bank is 167 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 3 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Côte-Nord. Baie-Comeau at 23 km is the nearest place to stop. Saguenay sits 254 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Open biodiversity records for Côte-Nord list logperch. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. The shape of Lac Larose decides where the fish sit.
Average temperature peaks around 16°C in July and bottoms out near -14°C in January. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Ice is part of the season here, ending near early May. On average, early May opens the water and late November closes it again. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. The season on Lac Larose follows the weather closely.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Perron sits 1.8 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Larose in what we hold.
