Not a cloud worth mentioning today, with next to no ripple with the barometer flat. Start the search at Lac Lapierre along the margins and the shelf beyond them. The day fishes best from night into morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Lapierre belongs to Lanaudière, Quebec. The bank is 84 metres above sea level. The whole thing is a single swim; walk it in a minute. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Lanaudière. The nearest place of any size is Lac-Lapierre, 0.4 km away. The big place round here is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 22 km distant. The boundary is near enough that local access rules are worth double-checking.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Across Lanaudière, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. The near bank of Lac Lapierre is often the one people ignore.
Expect July to average close to 20°C, with January the cold end at about -12°C. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near mid April. Open water usually runs from mid April until about early December. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Lac Lapierre fishes to that pattern most years.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Parking sits 890 m out, which makes for a walk with tackle. Public toilets are recorded roughly 140 m off. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. For a change of water, Lac Charbonneau is 0.4 km distant. Check the position at Lac Lapierre before loading the car.
