A closed sky with even light today, with barely a breath of wind and the barometer holding steady. On Lac Lagace, work the margins and the shelf beyond them first. A hard day on paper; the night edges the rest. Scale down and fish slowly. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Côte-Nord, Quebec, is where Lac Lagace sits. The water sits 43 metres up. It lies lower than most water we list in Quebec. Nearest town is Chute-aux-Outardes, 3.6 km off. The nearest city of size is Saguenay, 214 km away. Others close at hand: Petit lac a Foin at about 4.3 km, 4.9 km away is Lac Castor, Lac a Foin at about 6.2 km, 6.3 km away is Reservoir aux Outardes 2 and Lac du Gibier at about 8.9 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Records held for Côte-Nord cover logperch. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. On Lac Lagace the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
The warmest month averages 17°C, the coldest about -14°C. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around early May. Averages suggest open water from about early May through to roughly late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Lac Lagace runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
The access position is unclear from public sources. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Petit lac a Foin, 4.3 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lac Lagace in what we hold.
