Blue sky from bank to bank today, with a kind SSW breeze on the water and the barometer holding steady. Activity on Lac Kendrick should centre on reed fringes and open pockets. The day runs flat but workable from start to finish. Take the steady approach over the searching one. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Kendrick stands in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec. The surface lies 437 metres up. It measures about 17 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. The bank runs about 1.9 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. Start from Senneterre, 93 km down the road. Barraute is 121 km and Val-d'Or 124 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Reported across Abitibi-Témiscamingue: northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. The county list is broader than any single water. Work Lac Kendrick in sections rather than trying to cover it.
The range across the year is -18°C to 16°C. Ice holds for a long stretch, so the open weeks matter more here than further south. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. From about early May to around mid November, expect open water on the long-run figures. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. The season on Lac Kendrick rarely departs from it.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Lac Shenley, 2.3 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Kendrick in particular, ask before you travel.
