Dull, settled light over the water, with a faint S drift and steady pressure. Whatever swims in Lac Kelly should be near the calm side of the wind. The forecast is against you; the middle of the day is the least bad option. Short, focused sessions beat a long grind today. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Kelly is one of the Outaouais waters in Quebec. It stands 222 metres above sea level. Surface area is around 23 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The bank runs about 4.7 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. It is low-lying compared with other Quebec water we list. Saint-Boniface at 28 km is the nearest place to stop. After that come Maniwaki at 41 km and Ferme-Neuve at 49 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Public occurrence data for Outaouais names pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Take Lac Kelly a stretch at a time.
Climate records put July near 18°C and January near -15°C. Expect a real winter and a strong spring after it. Ice is part of the season here, ending near late April. The open-water window runs from around late April to about late November in an average year. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Lac Kelly runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. The nearest alternative is Lac Pilon, 1.3 km out. For Lac Kelly, the notice at the access point is the final word.
