Solid cloud cover today, with a kind SW breeze on the water with the glass holding level. On Lac Jerry, work structure within a cast of the bank first. A tough forecast; the night offers the only real chance. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Out in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, sits Lac Jerry. The bank gives way to mixed forest. At roughly 6 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Most waters listed here for Abitibi-Témiscamingue are larger. Supplies mean a trip to Deep River, 85 km off. Further out sit Chalk River (95 km) and Mattawa (98 km). The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. The county list is broader than any single water. The near bank of Lac Jerry is often the one people ignore.
Temperature averages peak at 17°C in July and bottom out at -15°C in January. The middle months are generous; the ends are demanding. Ice-out usually falls in late April, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Averages place the thaw at late April and the freeze at late November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. On Lac Jerry the same rules apply, with local timing.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Christison, 3 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the position on Lac Jerry before loading the car.
