Thunder risk building through the day, with a light chop building from the S and pressure going nowhere. The water to cover at Lac Jeannine is the seam between weed and open water. If you pick one session, make it the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Set in Mauricie, Lac Jeannine is a Quebec water. It sits in lake country bush. This is a pocket water of some 2 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Our Mauricie list holds plenty of bigger water. Nearest town is Weymontachie, 42 km off. La Tuque follows at 55 km, then Leblanc at 97 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Public occurrence data for Mauricie names northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Treat Lac Jeannine as a water to read rather than to cover.
Expect July near 17°C and January near -16°C on the long-run figures. Hard water is a season in its own right here. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. That is the shape of the year on Lac Jeannine.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. If the gate is shut, Lac de l'Est at 1.5 km is the nearest alternative. What applies at Lac Jeannine may have changed since it was mapped.
