Wet weather working through today, with flat calm through the day with the barometer flat. Most of the action on Lac Inglis should come off bays that hold the day's warmth. If you pick one session, make it the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Inglis belongs to Mauricie, Quebec. What surrounds it is boreal forest. Small at around 4 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. On size it sits at the modest end of our Mauricie list. For a base, Weymontachie sits 30 km out. Trois-Rivières is the closest city, 168 km away. Others close at hand: 1.9 km away is Etang Yoke, Lac David roughly 2.3 km, 2.5 km away is Lac Garneau, Lac Andrew roughly 2.6 km and 2.8 km away is Lac Alfra. No border sits close enough to matter.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Across Mauricie, recorded fish include northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. On Lac Inglis that means starting tight and working out.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 16°C, while January sits near -16°C. Winter owns most of the year at this latitude. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. Climate figures give an open season running early May to mid November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Plan any trip to Lac Inglis around it.
Our records carry no access rule either way. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Etang Yoke, 1.9 km away, makes the obvious fallback. The position on Lac Inglis is worth confirming on the day.
