Soft grey light all day today, with next to no ripple and pressure sitting still. Fish at Lac Incise should hold close to windblown banks where food collects. Quiet conditions all day, with the morning marginally better. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac Incise falls in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, part of Quebec. The bank is 361 metres above sea level. Small at around 3 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. Our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list holds plenty of bigger water. For supplies, Deep River is 112 km out. Saint-Boniface follows at 118 km, then Val-d'Or at 119 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Records held for Abitibi-Témiscamingue cover northern pike, yellow perch, walleye, white sucker and brown bullhead. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. At Lac Incise the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
July runs about 17°C on average, January about -16°C. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Anyone fishing Lac Incise regularly works to that calendar.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. For a change of water, Lac Fane is 0.5 km distant. For Lac Incise, the notice at the access point is the final word.
