Lac Hulot is an Outaouais water, in Quebec. Everything around it is rolling bush. Around 40 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. About 4.3 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. It is among the larger waters listed here for Outaouais. For a base, Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel sits 13 km out. After that come Lac-Simon at 17 km and La Minerve at 20 km. The boundary is close enough to be worth checking before you fish.
Our records carry no depth, so judge it from the bank. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Survey and observation records for Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Read Lac Hulot for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Expect July near 18°C and January near -14°C on the long-run figures. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. The season on Lac Hulot follows the weather closely.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Laporte sits 1 km off and takes the overflow. Ask locally about Lac Hulot if anything is unclear.
