A closed sky with even light today, with an easy breeze from the NNW and pressure going nowhere. Expect most activity at Lac Hudon around any hard bottom among the soft. Quiet conditions all day, with the night marginally better. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean in Quebec is where Lac Hudon sits. What surrounds it is mixed forest. It covers about 7 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. By elevation it sits in the lower part of our Quebec listings. Saint-Ambroise at 14 km is the nearest place to stop. Then Saint-Honoré, 18 km, and Labrecque, 22 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, recorded fish include northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. On Lac Hudon the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Expect July near 18°C and January near -18°C on the long-run figures. Hard water is a season in its own right here. The lid usually goes in early May, which opens the strongest weeks of the year. The open-water window runs from around early May to about late November in an average year. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Plan around that when you fish Lac Hudon.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Lac Claveau sits 1.3 km off and takes the overflow. For Lac Hudon, the notice at the access point is the final word.
