Clear air and long views across the water tonight, with a light chop building from the SW and pressure sitting still. The productive water at Lac Hagedet will be around sheltered bays and points. A tough forecast; the middle of the day offers the only real chance. Keep baits small and presentations quiet.

Quebec holds Lac Hagedet, in Outaouais. This is rolling bush ground. At about 12 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. Around 1.6 km of margin, front to back. The nearest place of any size is Saint-Boniface, 96 km away. Beyond it, Maniwaki at 107 km and Ferme-Neuve at 113 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Survey and observation records for Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Lac Hagedet repays a walk before the first cast.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -17°C in January. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. Open water usually runs from early May until about late November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Plan any trip to Lac Hagedet around it.
We hold no note on access for this one. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. A phone call first saves an afternoon. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Lac Guerigny sits 0.4 km off and takes the overflow. Check the position at Lac Hagedet before loading the car.
