Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a useful SSW wind pushing food about and no real change in pressure. Activity on Lac Glissoire should centre on the calm side of the wind. The numbers single out the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

The Mauricie end of Quebec holds Lac Glissoire. It lies 530 metres above sea level. Around 28 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. The bank runs about 3.9 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. Start from Leblanc, 52 km down the road. Trois-Rivières is the closest city, 249 km away. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Across Mauricie, recorded fish include northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. The near bank of Lac Glissoire is often the one people ignore.
Expect July to average close to 16°C, with January the cold end at about -17°C. This far north the hard season runs and runs. Winter locks it down, and early May brings it back. Averages suggest open water from about early May through to roughly mid November. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. Anyone fishing Lac Glissoire regularly works to that calendar.
Public data does not answer the access question here. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac du Compas, 1.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Rules at Lac Glissoire are worth checking on the day.
