A grey, even sky over the water, with flat calm through the day with the barometer flat. Fish at Lac Gisele should hold close to the shaded margin through bright spells. Expectations low today; if anything moves, it will be in the night. Lower the pace and stay patient. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Set in Côte-Nord, Lac Gisele is a Quebec water. It sits at 130 metres above sea level. With some 10 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. About 2.0 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. It is low-lying compared with other Quebec water we list. Chute-aux-Outardes is the closest place, 16 km off. Further out sit Hauterive (16 km) and Baie-Comeau (23 km). It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Across Côte-Nord, recorded fish include logperch. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. On Lac Gisele the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
July runs about 16°C on average, January about -16°C. Ice holds for a long stretch, so the open weeks matter more here than further south. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. The season between ice runs from about early May to mid November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Gisele.
Public data does not answer the access question here. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. A landowner's word beats anything printed elsewhere. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Should this one be busy, Lac Simone is 1 km off. For Lac Gisele in particular, ask before you travel.
