Bright, clear skies over the water today, with a whisper of wind from the WSW and pressure going nowhere. Start the search at Lac Georges along points where shallow meets deep. A long productive spell runs afternoon into evening. Make the first hour count and build on it. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lac Georges is a Lanaudière water, in Quebec. The surface lies 208 metres up. It covers about 3 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Most waters listed here for Lanaudière are larger. Rawdon sits 3.5 km from here and is the nearest stop. Further out sit Sainte-Julienne (8.8 km) and Chertsey (11 km). Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Our records hold no depth for this water. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Across Lanaudière, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass and brook trout. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Treat Lac Georges as a water to read rather than to cover.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 19°C, while January sits near -13°C. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about early December. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. Expect Lac Georges to follow that timing.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Should this one be busy, Lac des Pins is 2.3 km off. For Lac Georges in particular, ask before you travel.
