Solid cloud cover today, with barely a breath of wind with the barometer flat. Most of the action on Lac Galuzot should come off the seam between weed and open water. The day peaks in the morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Galuzot is a Lanaudière water, Quebec side. It sits at 376 metres above sea level. At roughly 8 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. The town to know is Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm, 22 km out. Beyond it, Saint-Michel-des-Saints at 24 km and Sainte-Béatrix at 45 km. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. On Lac Galuzot that means starting tight and working out.
The year swings from about -14°C in January to roughly 18°C in July. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. The open-water window runs from around late April to about late November in an average year. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Galuzot.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac Monnet sits 1.6 km off and takes the overflow. Check the current arrangement for Lac Galuzot.
