A rainy spell sitting over the area, with a light chop building from the W and no real change in pressure. Most of the action on Lac Fraser should come off the weed line and any gaps in it. The day fishes best from afternoon into evening. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop.

The Estrie entry here is Lac Fraser, in Quebec. The water sits 260 metres up. It measures some 1.61 sq km, and wind has room to build across it. At about 5.9 km of edge, most people work one arm at a time. Few waters listed in Estrie are bigger. Magog lies 13 km from the water. After that come Rock Forest at 14 km and Valcourt at 17 km. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Species logged across Estrie include rainbow trout, white sucker, pumpkinseed, brook trout and rainbow smelt. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. The shape of Lac Fraser rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Long-term averages put July at about 19°C and January near -11°C. Winter puts a hard lid on this one. The lid usually goes in mid April, which opens the strongest weeks of the year. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about mid April until roughly early December. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Fraser.
No access rule appears in what we hold. There is a mapped slipway roughly 790 m away. Parking sits 750 m out, which makes for a walk with tackle. Public data records a pier about 930 m out. There is a campsite 630 m from the water. Somewhere to sit and eat is 750 m out. Mapping records toilets within 530 m. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Lac des Monts at 2.5 km is the sensible second choice. None of that is settled for Lac Fraser in what we hold.
