Showers crossing the water today, with an easy breeze from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. Expect most activity at Lac Edna around inflow corners and shaded margins. Numbers are low everywhere; the night is the pick of them. Scale down and fish slowly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Edna lies in Outaouais, Quebec. It sits in lake country bush. Surface area is around 13 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The edge runs 2.0 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. For a base, Saint-Boniface sits 54 km out. For a city, Gatineau is 155 km off. Water in the same corner: Lac Raymond at 1 km, Lac Wu 1 km, Lac Tut at 2.1 km, Lac Claw 2.6 km and Lac Anna at 2.9 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Read Lac Edna before you fish it and the day goes better.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 18°C, while January sits near -16°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. That is the shape of the year on Lac Edna.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Lac Raymond sits 1 km off and takes the overflow. Check the position on Lac Edna before loading the car.
