Dull, settled light over the water, with next to no ripple and pressure sitting still. Most of the action on Lac Eddy should come off the seam between weed and open water. The night should out-fish the rest of the day. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Eddy lies in Laurentides, in Quebec. The water sits 444 metres up. At 5 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. The town to know is Ferme-Neuve, 66 km out. Gatineau sits 204 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. Within a short drive: Petit lac Padre at 1.8 km, Lac Vanier a shade over 2.1 km, Lac Normand at 2.3 km, Lac Padre a shade over 2.8 km and Lac du Radeau at 3 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Survey and observation records for Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Lac Eddy gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
Between January at about -16°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. Climate figures give an open season running early May to mid November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. On Lac Eddy that shapes the whole year.
We hold no note on access for this one. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Petit lac Padre, 1.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Nothing on Lac Eddy should be assumed from this page alone.
