No direct sun expected today, with dead-still conditions with the glass holding level. Fish at Lac Eddy should hold close to inflow corners and shaded margins. Save your energy for the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Look for Lac Eddy in the Mauricie part of Quebec. The water sits 384 metres up. Surface area runs to about 6 hectares — small enough to read in one session. Start from Manawan, 89 km down the road. Ferme-Neuve is 96 km away, with Mont-Laurier at 113 km. Water in the same corner: Lac Essex at 1.1 km, Lac Tom about 1.1 km, Lac Gerard at 1.2 km, Lac Sourus about 1.2 km and Lac Bob at 2.3 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
We hold no depth figure for this one. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Mauricie records list northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch among the fish reported. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. On Lac Eddy the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
In an average year July sits at 17°C and January at -17°C. Cold dominates the year and the fishing works around it. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. Averages suggest open water from about early May through to roughly mid November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. The season on Lac Eddy follows the weather closely.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Essex, 1.1 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Eddy, the notice at the access point is the final word.
