Showers crossing the water today, with steady pressure of wind from the S and steady pressure. Most of the action on Lac Dupuis should come off points where shallow meets deep. Set the alarm around the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Laurentides, Quebec, is where Lac Dupuis sits. It lies 496 metres above sea level. At roughly 6 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Nearest place of any size is Rivière-Rouge, 34 km away. Ferme-Neuve follows at 45 km, then Labelle at 50 km. Within a short drive: Lac Picote lies 1 km on, Lac Hoot 1.1 km away, Lac Marthe lies 2 km on, Lac Andre 2.2 km away and Lac Bruce lies 2.4 km on. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Survey and observation records for Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Lac Dupuis repays a walk before the first cast.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -16°C in January. Open water arrives late and leaves early, which concentrates the fishing. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about mid November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Lac Dupuis runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Picote, 1 km away, makes the obvious fallback. The position on Lac Dupuis is worth confirming on the day.
