Damp, showery conditions today, with a faint SSE drift with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Lac du Tete-a-Queue should be near windblown banks where food collects. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Look for Lac du Tete-a-Queue in Côte-Nord, Quebec. The setting is spruce and muskeg on every side. Around 30 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. About 2.2 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. Godefroy is the closest place, 44 km off. Saguenay is the closest city, 384 km away. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Across Côte-Nord, recorded fish include logperch. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. Lac du Tete-a-Queue gives up more to patience than to distance.
The warmest month averages 14°C, the coldest about -20°C. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. Once it clears, about mid May, the fishing comes on quickly. The open-water window runs from around mid May to about early November in an average year. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. The season on Lac du Tete-a-Queue rarely departs from it.
No access rule appears in what we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. For a change of water, Lac Leger is 2.1 km distant. Check the current arrangement for Lac du Tete-a-Queue.
