Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a mirror surface most of the day and no real change in pressure. Start the search at Lac du Drageon along the calm side of the wind. The day peaks in the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Look for Lac du Drageon in the Lanaudière part of Quebec. Height above sea level is 414 metres. You can fish the entire water from one spot if you pick it well. Our Lanaudière list holds plenty of bigger water. Nearest town is Manawan, 39 km off. Then Saint-Michel-des-Saints, 64 km, and Weymontachie, 72 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Survey and observation records for Lanaudière include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Work Lac du Drageon in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Averages move between -16°C in January and 17°C in July. The freeze holds for the better part of the year. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Break-up near early May, freeze-up near mid November: that is the shape of an average year. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. Expect Lac du Drageon to follow that timing.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. If the gate is shut, Lac Kamitcackokamacik at 1.5 km is the nearest alternative. Ask locally about Lac du Drageon if anything is unclear.
