Stars out and no cloud tonight, with a decent NW wind working the banks and pressure going nowhere. The water to cover at Lac Donadieu is reed fringes and open pockets. A stay-home graph, with the evening as the one excuse to go. Scale down and fish slowly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Côte-Nord in Quebec is where Lac Donadieu sits. It lies 116 metres above sea level. About 4 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. On size it sits at the modest end of our Côte-Nord list. Supplies mean a trip to Port-Cartier, 9.3 km off. Saint-Alexandre is 10 km and Sept-Îles 35 km. Neighbouring water: Lac Gerlaise 1.1 km, Lac Casselet after 1.6 km, Lac Audivert 1.8 km, Petit lac Castor after 3.3 km and Petit lac aux Foins 6.4 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Survey and observation records for Côte-Nord include logperch. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. At Lac Donadieu light and wind decide more than tackle does.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 16°C, while January sits near -16°C. Little of the calendar is open water, so timing counts for everything. Break-up comes around early May, and the run that follows is short and strong. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about mid November. The weeks after the thaw and the ones before the freeze are the strongest. Plan around that when you fish Lac Donadieu.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Gerlaise sits 1.1 km off and takes the overflow. Check the current arrangement for Lac Donadieu.
