An even grey lid over the water, with barely a breath of wind and no real change in pressure. Fish at Lac Digon should hold close to inflow corners and shaded margins. The forecast is against you; the morning is the least bad option. Treat it as a scouting trip with a rod in hand. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Set in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Lac Digon is a Quebec water. The country here is boreal forest. The water measures roughly 4 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. On size it sits at the modest end of our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list. The town to know is Val-d'Or, 55 km out. Senneterre follows at 72 km, then Malartic at 77 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. The county list is broader than any single water. The shape of Lac Digon rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Climate normals give 17°C for July and -16°C for January. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. After early May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. That is the shape of the year on Lac Digon.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. If the gate is shut, Lac du Recif at 1.2 km is the nearest alternative. Treat Lac Digon as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
