Light moving in and out all day, with a helpful ripple pushed from the SW with the barometer flat. Whatever swims in Lac des Iroquois should be near any hard bottom among the soft. The forecast is against you; the night is the least bad option. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly.

In Quebec, Lac des Iroquois belongs to Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Everything around it is pine and birch. At about 25 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. The bank runs about 4.5 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. Mattawa at 58 km is the nearest place to stop. Beyond it, Notre-Dame-du-Lac at 73 km and Deep River at 76 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Fish documented in Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Read Lac des Iroquois for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Climate records put July near 18°C and January near -14°C. The middle months are generous; the ends are demanding. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near late April. On the long-run averages the water opens up around late April and starts locking again about late November. The weeks after the thaw and the ones before the freeze are the strongest. Plan any trip to Lac des Iroquois around it.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Failing this one, try Lac Swansea, 1.3 km away. For Lac des Iroquois in particular, ask before you travel.
