Soft grey light all day today, with mild air moving in from the W with the barometer flat. Whatever swims in Lac de la Seve should be near reed fringes and open pockets. Quiet conditions all day, with the night marginally better. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac de la Seve is a Lanaudière water, Quebec side. It lies 435 metres above sea level. Manawan is the closest place, 36 km off. The nearest city of size is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 202 km away. Water in the same corner: Lac Valette roughly 1.4 km, 1.6 km out stands Lac Blaze, Lac aux Goujons roughly 1.6 km, 1.6 km out stands Lac Pahonnet and Lac du Papillon roughly 2.3 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. At Lac de la Seve light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Expect July near 17°C and January near -16°C on the long-run figures. The freeze holds for the better part of the year. After early May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Averages suggest open water from about early May through to roughly mid November. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. Lac de la Seve runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. Lac Valette sits 1.4 km off and takes the overflow. Nothing on Lac de la Seve should be assumed from this page alone.
