A closed sky with even light today, with next to no ripple and pressure sitting still. The fish at Lac de la Dame are likely to sit near points where shallow meets deep. Make the night the heart of the trip. Make the first hour count and build on it. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Night
You will find Lac de la Dame in Mauricie, Quebec. Elevation runs to 403 metres. Surface area is around 27 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The edge runs 4.3 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. For a base, Leblanc sits 17 km out. Weymontachie follows at 76 km, then Manawan at 127 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Fish documented in Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. Read Lac de la Dame for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
The warm month here averages 16°C; the cold one sits at -18°C. Cold dominates the year and the fishing works around it. Look for the thaw near early May; the fishing lifts straight after. Average temperatures cross freezing around early May in spring and again near mid November in autumn. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. That is the shape of the year on Lac de la Dame.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. Lac de la Queue de Castor, 3.5 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lac de la Dame in what we hold.
