Dull, settled light over the water, with a helpful ripple pushed from the SW and pressure going nowhere. Start the search at Lac Davy along the shaded margin through bright spells. Numbers are low everywhere; the evening is the pick of them. Lower the pace and stay patient. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Davy lies within the bounds of Côte-Nord, Quebec. The ground round it is northern bush. Surface area is around 17 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. There is roughly 3.6 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. Head to Baie-Comeau, 58 km away, for anything you forgot. After that come Hauterive at 66 km and Saint-Alexandre at 71 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Public occurrence data for Côte-Nord names logperch. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Read Lac Davy before you fish it and the day goes better.
Long-term averages put July at about 16°C and January near -15°C. Ice holds for a long stretch, so the open weeks matter more here than further south. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near early May. From about early May to around mid November, expect open water on the long-run figures. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Anyone fishing Lac Davy regularly works to that calendar.
The access position is unclear from public sources. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac Bourassa sits 1 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Davy in what we hold.
