Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with a kind SSW breeze on the water with the glass holding level. On Lac Daule, work reed fringes and open pockets first. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Set in Lanaudière, Lac Daule is a Quebec water. The water sits 470 metres up. Roughly 61 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. A shoreline of some 4.9 km keeps the choices simple. On our Lanaudière list it sits near the top for size. For a base, Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm sits 40 km out. It is 116 km to Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, the nearest city. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Fish documented in Lanaudière include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Lac Daule fishes better once you know its edges.
July runs about 17°C on average, January about -15°C. Open water arrives late and leaves early, which concentrates the fishing. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. The weeks after the thaw and the ones before the freeze are the strongest. Plan around that when you fish Lac Daule.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Mosquic sits 1.3 km off and takes the overflow. Treat access at Lac Daule as something to verify.
