Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a gentle ripple from the SSE and pressure sitting still. Lac Dailey should fish best around the margins and the shelf beyond them today. Block out the hours from night into morning. Slow down and let the fish find the bait. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Look for Lac Dailey in Capitale-Nationale, Quebec. Land around it is pine and birch. Surface area runs to about 3 hectares — small enough to read in one session. Laurentides lies 2.4 km from the water. Sainte-Thècle is 39 km away, with Saint-Raymond at 41 km. What else is close: Lac Lemieux out at 1.6 km, Lac Ampoule some 2 km off, Lac Aurele out at 2.5 km, Lac des Betulas some 2.9 km off and Lac des Origans out at 3 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Public occurrence data for Capitale-Nationale names lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker and sauger. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. At Lac Dailey the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Average temperature peaks around 18°C in July and bottoms out near -15°C in January. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. Climate figures give an open season running late April to late November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. Plan any trip to Lac Dailey around it.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Should this one be busy, Lac Lemieux is 1.6 km off. Check the current arrangement for Lac Dailey.
