Rain colouring the margins today, with a soft S wind and pressure sitting still. Fish at Lac Court should hold close to the weed line and any gaps in it. The numbers single out the morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Court lies within the bounds of Mauricie, Quebec. The country here is mixed forest. Around 17 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. Nearest town is Mandeville, 22 km off. It is 71 km to Trois-Rivières, the nearest city. Others close at hand: Lac Nidou some 0.7 km off, Lac Conrad lies 1.4 km on, Lac a Pitou some 1.7 km off, Lac du Camp lies 1.9 km on and Lac Hollis some 2.5 km off. This one is safely inside the county line.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Survey and observation records for Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. Lac Court fishes better once you know its edges.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 18°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. That is the shape of the year on Lac Court.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Lac Nidou at 0.7 km is the sensible second choice. Ask locally about Lac Court if anything is unclear.
